Nicely appointed, comfortable condo grocery store, bus station, central market, Chinatown nearby Positive: Adelaide CBD is a square mile -- pretty much any place is convenient to stay. The location of this unit was close to the bus stop, central market, Chinatown, businesses. There is various coffee shops & restaurants nearby. Most tourist sights are in the north / northeast part of the CBD -- but all within 5-15 minute walk. Public transit is nearby. Grocery store is next door -- along with what appeared to be a nice coffee shop with food. Appreciated the Nespresso machine & coffee pods, glad to have the option of washing & drying machines. Had everything I needed on my visit, including shampoo, soaps, TP, paper towels, A/C etc. Close to park area. Negative: Construction is nearby, although noise/dust was no issue. One of 2 elevators was operational in the 18-story complex. Generally, didn't have to wait long for the 1 elevator. I preferred the north / NE of the CBD for my interests. The balcony was nice to have -- but view of parking structure & building wasn't great -- along with street lights -- glad to have shades to block the street/garage lights

Positive: The apartment was great with a nice view. It was very easy to check in, and Nicky was very accommodating when we had to check in early. Highly recommended!

Positive: The apartment was very proximal in the CBD and close to many restaurants and cafes. The indoor pool was also very refreshing. Negative: Unfortunately, we had a less than ideal stay at Koala Nest. This was primarily due to not being able to use the air conditioner, which was full of mould. Whenever we turned it on, the smell of mould was so strong that it felt like a health hazard to breathe in. The air conditioner was an important factor in booking this apartment, as we stayed in Adelaide for 4 nights in hot weather. I wish we had known about this issue earlier because we would have stayed somewhere else. We did alert the host of this issue upon arrival, and she said she would look into it as a matter of priority. We did not follow up with her, and she did not follow up with us. She said she thought the matter had been resolved when she did not hear from us. We, however, did not have the time to sort out this issue during our short stay (like finding alternative accommodation or liaising with the host to have the air conditioner serviced). It really wasn't something we could factor into our schedule. We therefore just put up with the lack of air conditioning, which honestly made sleeping uncomfortable and left us tried through most of our trip. I have been told that the air conditioner was serviced after we checked out, and this has resolved the problem, which I hope is true.
